Over Day Centre provides a high standard of professional care for older people and those living with memory loss in an environment that is friendly and welcoming as well as health & safety conscious. Over Day Centre supports people in their desire to stay as independent and active as possible. It also provides much needed support and respite for families and carers.
Anyone living in South Cambridgeshire can attend if you can get to the Centre yourself, but for more local residents there is a minibus that serves the villages of Bar Hill, Longstanton, Swavesey, Over & Willingham. The bus will pick you up and drop you off door-to-door, and the driver is experienced with helping the less mobile.
The Centre is open Monday to Friday 09:30am till 3:30pm. Services include:

On-going client assessment from qualified professionals to monitor an individual’s needs and wellbeing.

Refreshments on arrival & a hot, freshly prepared two-course lunch as well as afternoon tea & cake.

Supervised bathing and shower facilities.

Social activities and entertainment daily.

GP appointments and medical prescriptions can be arranged with Over Surgery.

Hairdressing and qualified foot care on request.
You can contact the Centre yourself if you’d like to attend, or you can be referred by your GP or social services.
Volunteers and staff are all DBS checked. The Centre and the minibus are wheelchair accessible and there is ample parking on site.

To see if Over Day Centre is suitable, the initial telephone assessment with an experienced carer is free, as is an introductory session at the Centre.
