Hope Again Bereavement Support

Back to Support

Bereavement is a journey to be travelled, not a problem to be solved or an illness to be cured. Hope Again is a six week programme from HI Friends focusing on living with loss and sharing experiences with others. You don’t have to be a Histon or Impington resident to take part.

The six-week Hope Again programme focuses on particular aspects of the journey of loss, and allows people to feel they are in the company of those who are dealing with common concerns and feelings. Many of the feelings we experience in loss, grief and bereavement are normal, but it is still isolating to experience them. The Hope Again programme has been developed by a group of trained local people and is supported by an experienced counsellor with CRUSE Bereavement Care.

During the six weeks of the programme there will be an opportunity to think about the bereavement journey; health issues; looking after yourself; socialising; and moving on.  Above all, Hope Again offers a chance to relax with people in similar circumstances. You might even find time to smile again. Some people bring a friend or family member with them for support. But, of course, you are welcome to attend by yourself.

The Hope Again programme is open to all who are living with loss – at whatever stage on the journey you find yourself on.

Visit the website to find out when the next course will be. You can either ask a member of the Hope Again team to contact you or you can complete a participant form online to register your interest in taking part.
