Home-Start Royston, Buntingford and South Cambridgeshire is a charity offering support to families when life becomes difficult.

Weekly home visits by trained volunteers deal with a diverse range of concerns such as mental health, social isolation, postnatal illness, disability, bereavement, multiple births and parenting skills.

Home-Start also run specialised Family Support Groups in Meldreth, Royston and Buntingford, as well as a School Readiness Programme  supporting families to prepare their children for school.

What to expect?

Many parents need help, friendship, advice or support when children are young. There is no rulebook for raising a family and sometimes it can seem overwhelming, particularly if you are going through difficult times. Home-Start volunteers can offer you weekly contact that is confidential, free, non-judgemental and just for you.

You don’t need to be referred, you can contact Home-Start for a chat, with no obligation to take it any further if you don’t feel it is for you – sometimes just talking can make all the difference.
