Cambridge Rape Crisis Centre

Back to Support

CRCC is a specialist sexual violence organisation delivering a range of support services each year to hundreds of people in Cambridgeshire who are survivors of rape, sexual abuse and sexual violence.

The CRCC telephone helpline is a confidential and anonymous emotional support service. It is for women and girls of all ages and backgrounds who have been subjected to or are survivors of any form of sexual violence.

If you are calling for the first time you will have up to 45 minutes (up to 30 minutes after that) to chat with a trained  volunteer over the phone.

During the session, the volunteer will create a safe space for you to talk and will listen to whatever you want to say, at your pace. Don’t worry if you don’t know where to begin.

The volunteer will ask questions and listen while you explore your options, and if you ask for information about other forms of support, that can be provided too.

In addition to these the helpline, CRCC also offers:

Visit the website for more information  including when the helpline is available.
