Gay Outdoor Club Cambridgeshire

Back to Activities

The Gay Outdoor Club is an activity club for the LGBTQ+ community. There are local groups across the UK and also nationwide specialist groups such as climbing, caving and skiing. In Cambridgeshire the Club organises a countryside walk of about 7-8 miles most months.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • you can meet and chat with other LGBTQ+ people in a safe environment;
  • being outdoors is energising;
  • exercise is good for mental and physical health.

What to expect

The walks are planned and shared in advance by members.

You can register your interest and sign up on the Gay Outdoor Club website. After signing up you will have 3 months before you need to pay the yearly membership fee.

The Cambridgeshire group is currently lead by Colin and has members aged 40 – 76.  New members will receive a warm welcome.  All LGBTQ+ people over the age of 18 can join.

To enjoy the walks you are advised to wear weather appropriate footwear and clothing, and don’t forget to take a packed lunch.
